Jeffrey Snedeker - Classical Music for Solo Horn
Wednesday, October 22nd - 7:00 p.m.

Jeffrey Snedeker
Current President of the prestigious International Horn Society, Dr. Jeffrey Snedeker teaches horn at Central Washington University in Ellensburg. He maintains active outreach efforts in the public schools and has made concerto appearances, performed traditional recitals and natural horn performances, and played jazz gigs all over the U.S., Canada, Germany, Finland, Taiwan, and South Africa. Student musicians and general audiences alike have been thrilled by his gorgeous, characteristic tone quality and his dazzling technique and musicianship. Our ’08-’09 Season opens with class in the truest sense of the word!

Missoula Community Chamber Chorale - Chorale Music from Handel's Messiah

Get ready for the holiday season with a performance of great choral music by members of the Missoula Community Chamber Chorale, conducted by Dr. Ronald Wilcott. These area artists, from many "walks of life," come together to prepare and perform exciting choral music for schools and performing arts programs throughout the region. You’ll hear outstanding soloists, skilled ensembles and memorable choruses from the Messiah, the world-famous oratorio composed by George Frideric Handel in 1742.

The University of Montana Jazz Band - Outstanding Young Artists

Thanks to the support of Kevin Wetherell and Clearwater Montana Properties, Inc., we proudly present a performance by some of the most talented "Young Artists" around. You’ll find out why U of M Director of Jazz Studies, Lance Boyd, has achieved national recognition for developing one of the finest jazz programs in the Northwest. These student musicians will inspire and impress with their "Big Band" ensemble sound and skillful improvising soloists. An energizing end to Seeley Lake’s Winterfest celebrations.



Juan L. Sanchez Ensemble - "Music Without Frontiers for a World Without Frontiers"

Featuring the verse and passionate voice of Juan Sanchez, a charismatic modern-day troubadour who has transcended his Spanish roots. This ensemble of outstanding musicians creates a unique musical universe where Arabic and Sephardic melodies co-exist with gypsy rumbas, and sensual bossanovas, all adorned with lush Latin arrangements. Warm, genuine and engaging, Juan Sanchez and his musicians perform with sensitivity, energy, and everything in between!

Our season closes with stunning contemporary dance executed by the Lineage  Dance Company from Pasadena, California.  This unusual group of women, acclaimed for their "soulful feminity and sophisticated spatial design,"  has dedicated itself to assist charities nationwide in their fundraising endeavors.  The troupe strives to make the arts accessible to all types of audiences.  You won't want to miss this one!
